I dare to show a red flag to a Jharkhand Bull.
As all of us know, Cricket is a religion in India and the players are treated as almost gods and the younger generation simply accepts them as their role models too. Normally these cricket players have a nick name or pet name. These names sometims come from their action in the cricket field or sometimes from their original name itself. Few of the names are- Jumbo, Jammy, Jimmy, Colonel, Sunny, Dada, Bhajji, Veeru, etc. But I prefer to give the name 'Bull' to our great Mahi and I think it's fit to call him as The Jharkhand Bull, the place where he hails from. The reason why I call him a bull is because of the fighting instinct which normally a bull has and its capacity to throw down the enemy using its horn with an impeccable energy and skill which also exists in this great Mahi.
Our great Mahi is always recognized as an extravagantly flamboyant and destructive batsman, Dhoni has come to be regarded as one of the coolest heads to captain the Indian ODI side. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, CB Series of 2007 , and the Border Gavaskar Trophy, 2008 in which they beat Australia 2–0. Dhoni also captained Chennai Super Kings to victory in the recent IPL 2010. He is now captain of India in all three forms of the game and also led the team to their first ever bilateral ODI series wins inSri Lanka and New Zealand. Dhoni also led team India to number one position in ICC rankings in test cricket for the first time. Dhoni has also been the recipient of many awards including the ICC ODI Player of the year award in 2008 and 2009 , the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award and the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour in 2009.
With all these awards and rewards, we had expected something extra from him for the world cup 2011. But as the events are going on, this Jharkhand bull has disappointed us not only with his performance but also by his poor captaincy. The match between West Indies and India is going on now as I write this blog and India may end up in a victory in the absence of some classic batsmen in the team of West Indies.
The leadership qualities that he had exhibited all these days is getting evaporated day by day. Theory of four 'I', now I shall narrate here which is applicable to a good captain.
Mr. Mahi, entire nation is backing you. The millions and millions of Indians, cricket fans are looking at you with a profound hope of lifting the World Cup by you. Oh my dear BULL, happened is happened, you are already in quarter finals. Get your aggreviation back and accumulate your skills and strengths and scratch the ground in the bullish way with your legs and be ready for fighting and lift your head up with the spirit. Be a nightmare to your opponent. All my best wishes are with you.

- The basic killer Instinct.
- Influencing the team members through his actions.
- Creating an Impact within the team members and also in the public.
- Immediate and right decision at the time of crisis.

Cricket is no more a fascinating game to me like it use to be some years ago. The game seems to be predictably unpredictable. However I do peep into the channel when India is on field. Game or War, both need planning, knowing the other, build up own strength, and then face the opponent with strength and strategies. I agree with you the mediocre performance of our team when we analyze the overall performance of team and the Bull. While I admire the capacity of Dhoni in performing his captaincy, all the more his unconventional way of slogging the ball and motivating the team on field and off field, I wonder, What went wrong now??? Marriage? Beverage ?? Old age??? I do pray and wish India be the winner for many reasons and the one on top is to décor the Trophy Case of Sachin with the World Cup which is the only trophy missing in his cricket lab. Jai Ho.
